GPC: Financing Infrastructure and Mining Growth in Guinea

Introduction Guinéenne de Prestation et de Construction (GPC) is a 100% Guinean family-run business and a leading player in the country's mining, construction, and logistics sectors. GPC is on a mission to cement Guinea’s status as an innovative, competitive force in the global industry, positioning themselves for long-term positive impact through responsible, sustainable development. To support their infrastructure growth and key mining projects, including Simandou and GAC, GPC signed two supply contracts with Dints International in 2022 and 2024, valued at €10m and $11m respectively.
The Challenge As a rapidly growing local enterprise, GPC faced limited access to the affordable financing necessary to secure the CAPEX required for major infrastructure activity in Guinea. Furthermore, the transaction demanded complex coordination between GPC, Dints, multiple international suppliers, UKEF, AF Capital, and Apple Bank to successfully align supply, finance, and cross-border delivery.
Our Strategy Dints stepped in as the project integrator. We brought together commercial parties, suppliers, logistics partners, and the financing ecosystem into a highly coordinated, ECA-backed structure, managing the process from initial quotation to final order delivery.
Our strategy made UK and international supply accessible to GPC while ensuring suppliers were paid as if they were selling into their domestic markets. This structure significantly reduced friction for the suppliers and unlocked the vital equipment supply needed for Guinea's development.
Measurable Outcomes & Project Impact The primary direct outcome of this transaction was enabling GPC’s continued growth, directly supporting their work at Rio Tinto Simandou and multiple road and infrastructure projects across Guinea. By connecting UK and international suppliers into the transaction, backed by a UKEF loan guarantee, we facilitated critical equipment procurement.
In a wider context, this transaction directly supports the Simandou 2040 initiative—Guinea's extensive economic transformation program—and drives national infrastructure improvement.
